DESCRIPTION: United States Watch Co., Marion, NJ, for C.P Davis Elizabethport, N.J., 18 size, 15 jewels, key wind and set, damascened nickel plate movement, with lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance with gold timing screws, in a coin silver, reeded edge, engine turned hunting case, with Roman numeral, single sunk, white enamel dial, blued steel fleur de lys hands, serial #160009, c1875
CONDITION: CASE: Not original to the movement; Scratches on outer surface of case; Scratches on inner surface of case or cuvette; Engine turning / engraving with moderate wear; Front cover lift spring absent. DIAL: A few flakes in enamel concealed by bezel; Flakes in enamel near center arbor and at hloe in seconds bit; Scratches minor to dial. HANDS: Good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Minor scratches ; Burrs between balance cock and barrel bridge; Clamp added to secure movement in case; Balance cock screw replaced. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks).
